// My very own Fashion Week recap

Collage with "Gucci Movie?!" text, a group photo titled "The Tiger," Fendi bags, and a model Maison Margiela

Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2026 (FW SS26)

A collage of colorful magazine and ad cutouts with models, fashion brands. My door in my teenage bedroom.

I’ve always been passionate about fashion. Not to own the pieces, but as an art form.

I collected magazines as a teenager, I was cutting the shoots pages, looking at the articles layout and I was fascinated by The Devil Wears Prada. Now, thanks to the internet, I get to write my own articles about fashion. (Happy little me.)

Every fashion week, I go on YouTube and watch the shows: the brands I like, the images that catch my attention. I’m far from being a connoisseur: I don’t know the designers names or the maison statements. I just know this is a form of expression that I love because it is an unlimited playground (enormous budgets).

And this is not only about the clothes, it’s about the show. I see it as entertainment: it evokes emotions, it has something to say. And for those who struggle to see the point of all this: this isn’t a catalogue to choose your clothes from. This is inspiration, this is art.

LOCATION ___Jardin des Tuileries, Paris

DESIGNER___Jonathan Anderson

Fashion show stage Dior SS26. Set explained

The show takes place around an inverted glass pyramid (mimicking the Louvre). The intro film projected on the pyramid ends on tromboscopic archive videos, saturated sound, then silence, then bright white everywhere. Everything seems to consenter in a Dior box, archive box? Time to move on? (with the new logo on it). Because it’s the first woman collection of Jonathan Anderson.

I loved the archetypes: Napoleon, fairy, the Parisian bourgeois, the cape. Like characters of a tale.

So, it interested me and I watched the men collection too, and I liked the similarities (cause it still annoys me to have such separate universe between men and women).

LOCATION____Eiffel Tower, Paris

DESIGNER___Anthony Vaccarello

The show took place in front of the Eiffel Tower (something I love about Paris Fashion Week: it’s always staged in ICONIC locations).

The models were strutting around a gigantic YSL logo made of white flowers, half maze, half rose garden. Somptueux.

Powerful silhouettes, that dark edge we love about YSL.

Absolutely in love with the massive vintage-style earrings and the oversized sunglasses. The combo is stunning.

DESIGNER___Daniel Roseberry

Insane jewellery. For the nose, the back, even some pieces that light up, giving Atlantis crystal vibes. Because why not have jewellery for every part of the body?

Even if we’re all a bit tired of polka dots, I liked this reinterpretation. Holes arranged in a polka-dot pattern revealing transparency — another trend that’s been going strong for a few seasons now.

.Maison Margiela

Maison Margiela SS26 kids orchestra

This is a show that I will remember. At the beginning, kids in oversized blazers form an orchestra. They start to play, and of course the classical pieces are not played perfectly. The music gives a creepy, distorted vibe, reinforced by the models walking with their mouths opened by a wired kind of metal braces. Reminds me of the scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Almost the whole thing (space + kids + collection) is black and white (and grey). Feels black and white.

Overall, this show questioned me a lot. It was classical but undone. But intentionally undone, so it’s forgivable. Like the kids’ orchestra: they are destroying classical music, but because they’re cute you don’t say anything. The show ends with applause for the little ones (I feel like it’s rare to hear applause in a fashion show).

Stardust Aphrodite - Part 1 of A Trilogy of Glorified Clichés

DATE___________October 2, 2025

LOCATION ______Underground parking garage in Paris

DESIGNER _____Miguel Castro Freitas

Loved the strass and glitters in a parking lot. Underground party. The collection is almost monochrome (skin and black).

.Nina Ricci

DATE___________October 3, 2025

LOCATION ______La Sorbonne, Paris

DESIGNER _____Harris Reed

Probably the one show that really caught my eye thanks to the clothes. The mix of prints, the confidence, the sunglasses, the allure, the representation of different women, the music, the free 70’s rock spirit mixed with a 2000 nostalgia… I pretty much loved everything about this show. And it was hard to select only a couple of looks.

.Loewe

DATE________October 3, 2025

LOCATION ___Paris

DESIGNER __Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez

I wanted to watch Loewe because I love their perfume (if you ever get the chance to smell La Bella Cibeles, it’s the most addictive scent ever). Also because it was Jonathan Anderson’s maison before Dior.

.Gloria Coelho

DATE___________October 13, 2025

LOCATION ______São Paulo metro

DESIGNER _____Gloria Coelho

"DESFILE 50 ANOS EM MOVIMENTO GLORIA COELHO - SPFWN60"

A runway in the São Paulo metro. Loved the concept, not so much the collection.

.Louis Vuitton

DATE___________September 30, 2025

LOCATION ______Musée du Louvre, Paris

DESIGNER _____Nicolas Ghesquière

I really liked the venue (the Louvre), the decor and the music. The global colorimetry, orangish, feels like a warm summer day. And I liked a lot of the looks, liked the makeup and hair too.

Gucci SS26 premiere the tiger red carpet cinema short film

I’m speechless at what Gucci did. Where do we usually see the most gorgeous looks? On a red carpet. So, they decided to create a short film to showcase the new collection.

All of the characters in the film are dressed in the “La Famiglia” collection.

Plus, during fashion week, they invited a bunch of celebrities to the premiere of the film, and guess what they were wearing? The new Gucci collection. Brilliant. Genius.

Even the book of the collection has a great concept -> GUCCI LA FAMIGLIA

.Fendi

DATE________September 24, 2025

LOCATION ___Palazzo Fendi, Milan

DESIGNER __Silvia Venturini Fendi

Fendi SS26 milan fashion week set color bloc fun colorful

Probably the only show I watched this season with a woman designer. Interesting... because her vision feels closer to my own conception of what fashion represents: it has to bring joy, confidence, and fun into your everyday life. "Life's too short to wear boring outfits"

Fendi bag bugs memory

Since I’ve seen the show, I can’t stop thinking about the embroidery inside the bags, wearing it slightly open. It’s funny because my mom always pays attention to the inside of a bag or a pochette… I’m already thinking that she could customise one of my thrifted bags: leopard print, pink sequins… My godmother used to come home with a bag I still remember to this day: a beautiful green one with multicoloured striped fabric inside.

I also remember seeing the Fendi Bag Bugs at Galeries Lafayette in 2013, and then buying a fur charm for my Zara bag. For some reason, this collection spoke to me on a really personal level.

It was Silvia Venturini’s last show at Fendi, and thank you for having fun designing the collection and the set. “Bags are like adult toys.” OUI.
